Hang out with us! Summer programs for teens and young adults

Looking for stuff to do this summer? Hang out with us!

Teen Chat and Chew

You know that feeling when you finish a book and you're DYING to talk about it with someone else? Come to the Teen Chat and Chew to talk about books you love, hate, and maybe even the movies they inspired! We'll even give you some recommendations for others you might like. (And there will be snacks, obvs.)

Open to all teens, ages 12-18.

Saturday, June 11    1-2pm at the Palmer Branch with Miss Ashley

Monday, June 25     6:30-7:30pm at the Main Branch with Miss Katie

Saturday, July 16     1-2pm at the Palmer Branch with Miss Ashley (for this meeting, we'll be talking about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children)

Monday, July 25      6:30-7:30pm at the Main Branch with Miss Katie

Bad Art Night

Some bad art, expertly crafted by one of the library's teen volunteers.

Do you aspire for artistic greatness, only to find you have no artistic ability whatsoever? So do we!  No talent is required for Bad Art Night! We'll provide all the art supplies and some snacks, you bring the creativity (or lack thereof)! Remember to dress in sloppy painting clothes... it could get messy! PLUS: A prize will be awarded to the worst creation!

Open to anyone ages 12-18 who wants to make a mess with paints, colored pencils, crayons, chalk, glitter, glue, and whatever other art supplies we can dig up!

Monday, July 11    6:30 - 8:00pm at the Main Branch with Miss Katie
