Author Spotlight: Cyn Balog!

So, what is there to say about Cyn Balog? How about EVERYTHING.

In case you didn't know, Cyn's true passion is writing. Which makes sense because she is the super talented writer of SEVEN published novels. Her most recent release (Unnatural Deeds) comes out TODAY!!!

Plus she has another one in the works! She also co-wrote Getting Caught with Mandy Hubbard, and contributed to two anthologies (Dear Bully and The First Time). I'm telling you, this woman is an awe inspiring WRITING MACHINE and we love her dearly for it.

You can learn even more about her at her website, or talk to her one-on-one when she visits the Palmer Branch for YA Fest 2017!! WOOT WOOT! And make sure you follow her on Facebook and Twitter to stay updated about all her new books!

Look for all of Cyn's books in the library's collection! And remember, if a title you want is checked out or available at another library, you can always request it! It costs $0.50, but isn't that a lot cheaper than having to buy the book? We think so!

Fairy Tale
Morgan Sparks and her boyfriend Cam have been best friends since they were children, but just before their shared sixteenth birthday Cam confesses that he is a fairy who was switched at birth with a human child, and now the fairies want to switch them back.

Sleepless
Eron, a supernatural being known as a Sandman whose purpose is to seduce humans to sleep, falls in love with a sad teenaged girl who is mourning her boyfriend's death.

Starstruck
On a barrier island off the coast of New Jersey, sixteen-year-old Dough is surprised when her long-distance boyfriend returns after four years and still finds her beautiful, despite her seventy-pound weight gain.

Touched
Nick is tormented by visions of "future memories," and although he can risk changing these events if he goes "off script," the results are often worse than what he has seen, but when he meets Taryn one summer at the Jersey shore he begins to understand where this hated power comes from and what it means.

*STAFF PICK (This book is OMG SO GOOD. I loved it so much I wrote a review for it here.)

Dead River
A weekend rafting trip turns deadly when ghosts start turning up . . . and want something from high school senior Kiandra that she isn't sure she can give them.

Drowned (writing as Nichola Reilly)
Coe is one of the few remaining teenagers on the island of Tides. Deformed and weak, she is constantly reminded that in a world where dry land dwindles at every high tide, she is not welcome. The only bright spot in her harsh and difficult life is the strong, capable Tiam-- but love has long ago been forgotten by her society. The only priority is survival. Until the day their King falls ill, leaving no male heir to take his place. Unrest grows, and for reasons Coe cannot comprehend, she is invited into the privileged circle of royal aides. She soon learns that the dying royal is keeping a secret that will change their world forever. Is there an escape from the horrific nightmare that their island home has become? Coe must race to find the answers and save the people she cares about, before their world and everything they know is lost to the waters.
